What to send us so we can understand your vision and help bring it to life:
We are a one-stop shop for all your clothing, design, packaging, and other manufacturing needs. This list makes it simple to send us what we need. Don’t worry if something is not perfect; we can help!
If you are starting a new brand or expanding an existing one, these are the file formats and requirements that we need to begin:
Branding Files
Vector images are the industry standard for Branding Files. They should be one of these file extensions: AI, PSD, EPS, SVG, or PDF.
Designs
Tech packs are preferred and will allow us to best understand your vision. But don't worry if you do not have them yet; we can still help you. Instead of tech packs, we can begin with a minimum of at least three high-resolution reference images.
Branding Files
We need the files for print, embroidery, notions, and packaging, including the dimensions. Please remember these files must be in a vector file format. Each garment must include the measurements.
Sizing
A size chart of garment measurements for each design. Do note that body measurements can’t be used.
Things to keep in mind when starting a clothing brand
These are questions we are asked regularly that you might find useful. Keep in mind that each clothing brand is unique and that these are general answers. Your specific circumstances might change the answers.
When starting any new business, the more money you have available, the better. We see clients with an initial investment of $10,000 are able to successfully launch a t-shirt collection.
A full line of women’s and men’s clothing is successful with a starting capital of at least $20,000.00. This will allow for a collection of 480 pieces.
The minimum order is 50 pieces. You can mix and match multiple designs in each order!
Minimum order per color for one design is 80 to 100 clothing pieces.
Each fabric type has a minimum order of 150 meters (492 feet) to 200 (656 feet) meters of fabric.
For custom-developed fabrics, the minimum order starts from 150 meters to 200 meters per fabric type.
Orders using in-stock fabric have an average lead time of 7Days to 15Days.
Custom-produced fabrics take longer and average 15Days to 1 month.
The lead times begin when the order is accepted, begin production, and end when the items pass the quality control inspection.
Because we treat each client as a unique business partner, they are we have several shipping options. Our goal is to have the right shipping option available for every budget. We also understand that time is money, so we have options for faster shipping as well.
We only ship with reliable freight companies. That is why we are proud to offer shipping via UPS, DHL, Federal Express, and more. While we do use freight forwarders, we choose only the best for air and sea freight shipments.
To save you money, orders of 500 pieces or that weigh over 100kg ship via sea freight to most countries. Some countries are not eligible for this shipping method.
Shipping time is determined by the method of shipping and delivery location. Air freight will cost you more to ship your items, but they will arrive faster. Sea freight takes longer to reach you but will cost you less.
We are not able to make the following types of clothing:
- Wedding Gowns
- Costumes
- Haute Couture
- Skiing Gear
- Lingerie / Underwear
- Gloves
Products we are not able to offer at this time:
While we pride ourselves on being a one-stop shop, there are a few types of clothing we do not offer at this time. Check back often, as we are always adding more clothing types to our catalog. At this time, we are not able to offer the following types of clothing:
Wedding Gowns these are a specialized item usually involving lace and intricate detail work.
Costumes these usually come with a latex or plastic mask. We do not make these types of masks at this time, so we are not offering costume services.
Haute Couture these French clothing items are designed to be one clothing item custom designed and made. We specialize in bulk orders of clothing, not custom high-end single clothing items intended to only be made once.
Skiing Gear The high-tech cold protection technology used in modern ski apparel is a specialized clothing line. We are not offering cold protection clothing items at this time.
Lingerie / Underwear lacy and intricate detail work make these apparel items different from other clothing. They require special equipment and materials to manufacture. While DZX might offer these someday, for now, we are not offering lingerie or any underwear.
Gloves are a specialized clothing line that requires individual sewing and cutting. They come in a wide range of materials and styles, and DZX is not offering them at this time.
